    The Inside Sales Manager is responsible achieving sales and profit objectives through hiring, training, developing and directing employees and serving as facilitator of Inside Sales strategies, campaigns and techniques with Sales Leadership. This person will work closely with the CRO and the Sales Operations Manager to maximize revenue by while working to expand the scope and capabilities of the Inside Sales team.

    Responsibilities

    • Develops a strategic sales and marketing plan for Inside Sales Reps, based on upcoming information for the school year, trends in states, needs of the customer and of the outside sales team, in order to help reps meet assigned quotas.   Collaboration with Sales Leadership, Marketing, Professional Services and all support resources to leverage expertise and coordinate plans to help close sales. Adjust plans as needed.
    • Responsible for driving rep behavior so that each one can meet assigned territory and team quota and adjusting plans to reflect changing sales opportunities.
    • Manages the activities of the staff.  Conducts objective setting, midpoint and annual appraisal for all direct reports. Reviews weekly Inside Sales metrics opportunities, pipeline and business plan execution.  Communicates outcomes to Sales Leadership.
    • Recruit, train and develop employees’ skills, and careers. Conduct ongoing recruiting to ensure well qualified pool of applicants. Develop training plans for inside sales team. Coach inside sales staff to meet performance metrics and sales goals.
    • Manage and stay within budgets.   
    • Promote a positive relationship between outside sales and client success teams. Frequently communicate and collaborate with Marketing, Product and Professional Service team leadership. Take the lead with marketing lead generation team on integrating new demand generation techniques and strategies into sales plans.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • Charlottesville VA location mandatory
    • Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate experience in inside sales management, customer service, or operations
    • Knowledge of and experience using
      • Mac OS
      • Microsoft Office Suite
      • Google Drive, Mail, Calendar, etc.
      • Salesforce CRM
    • Exceptional organizational and critical thinking skills
    • Excellent oral/written communication skills
    • Positive, collaborative, and team-oriented approach to work relationships
    • Ability to work independently and willingness to ask questions when necessary
    • Ability to juggle competing tasks, and prioritize effectively


    Desired Skills and Experience:

    • Demonstrated ability to collect and manipulate data to provide valuable insights
    • Knowledge of current trends in education, specifically early childhood education
    • 5+ years experience in inside sales and inside sales management
