  • Overview

    We are looking for a driven, enthusiastic Internal Systems Lead to lead and transform our technical operations practices for our LMS platform. This role will be responsible for providing both business and technical implementation and management support for our our LMS, including developing onboarding processes, configuration management practices and processes, performing upgrades, leading integration work and troubleshooting of both platforms.

    The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of combined experience in system implementation and project management for LMS systems. The position is based in Charlottesville, Virginia.

    Your work will help teachers become better educators by helping ensure that our customers can maximize their learning and improvement by having the best possible experience with our applications in terms of application reliability and responsiveness.


    • Be the liaison between product management and systems operations for our LMS efforts, translating business needs into technical requirements and then leading the implementation of technical changes needed in the platform to meet the needs of the business
    • Work closely with our CDA operations, QA, product management, customer support, and customer success teams
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our LMS vendor
    • Manage multiple projects and efforts for systems as needs arise
    • Work strategically with the Product Management team to design the best LMS implementations for delivery
    • Support all LMS users at Teachstone - customers and internal staff
    • Troubleshoot LMS issues, provide tier 3 support for escalated customer support cases, create and coordinate vendor support ticket work as needed
    • Support non-content related course maintenance (course refreshes, archiving and sunsetting products, maintaining clean system data for reporting)
    • Become proficient at designing and creating reports in our LMS system
    • Create and maintain onboarding programs within the company for employees and contractors who work with our LMS platform


    • Able to effectively communicate with both product management and technical operations teams and
    • Understand business workflows and technical architectures
    • Comfortable working with an enterprise-scale LMS
    • Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Technical analysis and troubleshooting abilities working with large-scale systems
    • Passion for learning and process improvement


    Desirable Qualifications:

    • Professional experience working with Totara or Moodle LMS as an administrator and/or integrator
    • Experience working at education-focused companies and a passion for education
