  • Overview

    Oversees the development of proposals, bids, quotations, or other documents describing organizational products and services in response to requests from prospective clients. Collaborates with members of the sales, marketing, finance, legal, or product teams to ensure content is complete, accurate, and timely. Recommends enhancements to the organization's products or services based on inquiries from prospects.

    Responsibilities

    • Manages the full life cycle of RFP analysis, response development, and submission
    • Analyzes RFP requirements to ensure both compliance and responsiveness to the prospect’s business needs
    • Optimize end-to-end proposal process to ensure quality and efficiency
    • Improve processes for working with subject matter experts to facilitate accurate sales proposals
    • Create internal customer feedback mechanisms to support continuous quality management
    • Develop strong relationships throughout company to engage other departments in effectively supporting sales efforts requests

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five to seven years of experience directly related to RFP proposals and contract administration.
    • Proficient in MS Office suite with intermediate to advanced experience in Word and Excel.
    • Experience with CRMs, Adobe Acrobat, DocuSign, and the ability to quickly learn new platforms.
    • Organized, detail-oriented, thorough, and accurate with a strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
    • Ability to work as part of a collaborative team, meet deadlines & take instruction from multiple sources 
    • Experience working with proposal and contract documentation with a clear understanding of data/document reporting, tracking and maintenance
    • Proactive decision-maker with the ability to see the big picture
    • Strong management skills and the ability to effectively manage a Contract Administrator
    • Position is located in our Charlottesville, VA office
