    As a data analyst, you will provide data-driven insights via ad-hoc analyses, automated reports and dashboards. This role will require extensive experience with mySQL, data wrangling and attention to detail as well as the ability to work in cross-functional teams to drive actionable insights. The right person for this role loves problem-solving and is a strong communicator and is driven to support Teachstones mission of creating world class teachers.     This is a full-time position based in Charlottesville, Virginia.


    • Work closely with stakeholders across the company to gather business requirements, deliver quality reports and turn data driven findings into operational successes
    • Refine and maintain product level KPI reporting for use across the company
    • Document and communicate reporting requirements and assumptions with precision
    • Conduct ad hoc data analysis and data quality investigations
    • Support implementation of Business Intelligence tools with training, documentation and standardization of process
    • Serve as a translator, bridging the gap between technical and non-technical teams to produce valuable reporting solutions
    • Evaluate data and reports for trends, and significant impact drivers
    • Prioritize reporting requests with ongoing projects from multiple stakeholders


    • Working knowledge of relational database concepts and mySQL, PostgresQL and the ability to learn new database structures
    • Understanding of programming logic, although no experience with a specific programming language is required.
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel or similar tools
    • Excellent communication skills, ability to analyze and clearly articulate complex issues
    • Highly analytical and strong attention to detail and quality
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize in order to meet deadlines
    • Experience and comfort working in a high-growth organization and enthusiasm for a fast-paced, collaborative work environment
    • Bachelor’s of Science in related fields
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in analytics
