The Associate Production Editor supports the development of quality program materials through the use of Teachstone branding, templates, formatting, and style guides. Responsibilities include copy editing, formatting, and organizing materials as well as coordinating logistics and document sharing with other Teachstone departments.



  • Copyedit materials for Content team and other departments as needed
  • Format print materials, PowerPoints, documents, and online courseware for consistency with Teachstone templates and style guides
  • Create visually-pleasing program materials and support written content with clear, logical visual displays
  • Manage physical and electronic archives of materials adhering to and improving file organization and naming protocols
  • Coordinate printing of publications with Inventory and Teachstone vendors
  • Participate in the review process, ensuring publication readiness
  • Track and implement copyright and trademark protocols across programs and materials
  • Lay out and edit publications in Adobe InDesign
  • Certify in the CLASS observation tool and assist in technical writing using the tool
  • Contribute to the Teachstone Style Guide


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Expert user of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Expert user of Google applications, including Docs, Slides, and Sheets
  • Familiarity with desktop publishing software, preferably Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign
  • Ability to learn new software and applications
  • BA
  • Graphic design and copyediting experience (knowledge of Chicago Manual of Style preferred)
  • Familiarity with the education field and professional development for adult learners

Additional Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with early childhood education and the CLASS tool
  • Experience in publishing materials for print and online
